The Village Hearth was founded in 2012 by a small group of women with a vision of bringing health, prosperity, and strength to the Round Valley community. Through an evolution of women leaders and partners, The Village Hearth has grown into it’s current form. In 2016, The Village Hearth formalized as a non-profit Cooperative Marketplace and continues to reside in the “little red house” located on the main street of downtown Covelo.

The Village Hearth offers our community health and wellness services, an organic and locally sourced cafe, a natural food store, retail space for local vendors and artists, sustainability workshops, and an event space.

Our mission is to provide a community space for creativity, prosperity, education, and wellness. We support health of our community of Round Valley by providing space for all people to thrive. Our space offers wellness services, local nutritious food, education, art, work opportunities, community gardening, and economic development.

Consistent with our mission, we also serve as a link between local farmers and the community, providing a hub for local CSA and bulk food deliveries ad pick up.

Coming soon! We look forward to further developing the educational component of our community garden project.
